MySpace to be repositioned in Video Games

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

MySpace, the second largest social network in the world after Facebook, is said to be the home of video games in the cyber world in the future, according to reports.

Plans are being laid out to reposition the social networking site as an entertainment destination focussed on online video gaming. According to Jonathan Miller, MySpace’s chief digital officer, the site can be a good ground to launch their video game suppliers’ products and develop these games.

MySpace’s future is being seen as a social site where people can meet and play games. This entertainment drive is doubtful according to some analysts though the focus in gaming would be an advantage over other social sites gearing entertainment such as YouTube.

Compared to current competitor, MySpace has a portal on its site to cater for video games while a variety of casual games is available over Facebook for its users.
