Google Chrome OS to be on millions of PCs

The recently released Google-based operating system – Chrome OS made a promising start in the industry. Though Google has a lot of struggles in promoting the Chrome OS, they are all optimistic that Chrome OS will be popular to users.

Google Chrome OS came to finalized some marketing strategies including plans of installing the operating system on smaller versions of laptops – the netbooks. This idea is set to be done next year to popularized the newest Google product.

Though Google experienced the gradual slow down of revenues coming from online advertising, Chrome OS is surely a burden to the company if they haven’t got the lead on other aspects of their business. But one thing is for sure, Google is still in the business.

Forming the best strategies to still grab the lead in the market, Google is acquiring other assets where they could directly move forward and gain something. Since it’s harder for them to gain more from the recent released operating system, they would be getting more money from the recently acquired assets including Double-Click, a display-ad company. Google is still forecasting that the revenue will be coming from advertising.

YouTube, one of Google-acquired assets, is also making money that’s the company is still positive that they could still maintain the lead in the market.

The initial strategy of providing Chrome OS to netbooks will surely be a hit in the coming year, making it a popular OS even to millions of PC users.

With Google’s Chrome OS, Is Google Trying So Hard?

Just recently, as the tech world surprisingly saw the launched of Google’s newest product, Chrome OS, everybody thinks that Google is slowly widening its services as it now offers operating system service for its users. Competitors are threatened with the fact that Google is using its popularity to gain more power on other services that they are trying nowadays.

But taking the words from Walid Abu-Hadba, Microsoft’s Vice President for Developer and Platform Evangelism, Google’s steps towards operating system is actually a strategy to threatened other competitors to do their best on existing products.

Google also released its mobile operating system Android and now, they are really venturing into operating system business with the release of Chrome OS. But with these products, Google is just playing defensively to protect its leading name on search engine category, putting its competitors into action to follow their moves and explore on new things. Thus, leaving behind what’s their initial business is.

Google executives claim that they just want computing more faster and simpler with the use of all Google products and services. Another technology writer thought that it could be Google’s way of toppling Microsoft’s dominance in the business. But these things are not factual in reality.

Studying Google’s ways in the past projects it launched, it’s evident that they are playing in the business. Launching new products will make competitors look on these products and try to do something on matching them. With this kind of strategy, Google is silently protecting its biggest share with search engine while exploring the avenue on other services that they could offer and that would be popular to users.

Though Google was also threatened with Bing’s growing traffic, Microsoft is guessing that providing the internet market a variety of choices with various services will make them still on the lead and popular.
