Though Google and Facebook are competing against internet domination, both signed contracts for their partnership on mobile application.
Facebook, the leading social networking site in the world, is currently available in mobile applications thru iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Palm devices. With the release of Google’s Android mobile operating system and Facebook’s more than 50 million subscribers using mobile devices, there’s really a need to tie up to bring both services available to their consumers.
The Facebook Android application will also be available on forthcoming Android-powered phones from T-mobile and Sony Ericsson. The said application is more limited with its iPhone counterpart but will still have all the same services users can get from Facebook. According to reports, Facebook features such as ability to RSVP to events, creating photo albums and redesigning home page screen will be available on this new mobile partnership.
