Aside from ranking which I seem to be getting substantial traffic from BIng, I find their searching kind of odd.

I have checked close to 100 sites, all sites that are at least 6 years or more old and when you type in

domainname.com

Only a few are listed. MOst do not even come up in the results, let alone the first one. THis is rather odd that a site would be indexed, yet a person cannot find it in this manner.

THis seems to be a shortcoming of the search engine since I use that feature when I am not sure of the exact spelling of a domain.

Does this mean that anytime someone speaks about their website, announcing new products for instance, that they are going to require a paid user account?

And how are they going to monitor this? It is one thing to protect a company’s name which is the right way to handle it, but who is going to police all the spam and stop these people from using Twitter and not paying the fee?

Microsoft Bing would be the closet competitor of Google. but i still use Google because it shows more relevant results on the serp.

my initial test result shows that Bing is as good as Google when displaying relevant search results. Google might be having a tough competitor with Microsofts own search engine.

Thank you for your interest but to be honest, there are so many sites publishing information and the big news networks have first hand information that we have decided that we cannot really add anything to the discussion.

There is a small point, however, that shows the power of the internet and social networking sites. Immediately upon the rumors of his death, traffic was so intense online that even Google News suffered a forty minute outage.
