G-Phone is Finally here!
Another great leap to mobile technology is the historical launched of the newest phone – Samsung Reclaim.
Launched in August 6, 2009 by Sprint, Samsung Reclaim is the green phone that all environmentalists in the world have been waiting for. The new eco-friendly phones comes in two colors – green and Ocean Blue – both environmental colors.
What made this phone more eco-friendly is that the green phone is made up of 80% recycled materials while the packing is made of 70% recycled stuff.
Compared to regular handsets, the outer casing is in 40% bio-plastics. Also, its charger consumes 12 times less power.
With the phones features, it has direct button in the phone to instantly connect the users to Discovery Channel. The $50 Reclaim has a Qwerty keyboard, 2-megapixel camera, GPS and Bluetooth 2.0.
According to reports, aside from the Samsung Reclaim, Spring will start showcasing and promoting other green-oriented products. The carrier is committed to reduce their own greenhouse emissions by 15% at the same time increase renewable energy usage by 10% on 2017.
With the launched of this newest product and the advent of the great competition in the industry, for sure, there will be more eco-friendly products that will be introduced sooner. Who knows, a GreenBerry is about to come?
